Expressed in prints, paintings and drawings, Kállay’s metaphors of our fate assume the viewer’s fresh powers of unrestrained imagination. His entire work is inspired especially by the eternal human desire for knowledge and control over the world, encouraging man to fly, to discover the laws of nature, to penetrate the essence of insect life and birds’ nests, and based on the knowledge of these laws to project cathedrals and spires touching the heavens.
